WEST PALM BEACH ALLOCATES $127MM TO BOOST ECONOMY

Budgeting funds for construction and other capital projects, the Mayor of West Palm Beach stated that this will put people to work. Renovation of Flagler Drive in downtown West Palm Beach and street improvements were announced, hoping to buoy the beleaguered construction industry. With cash set aside for the projects, taxes won’t be raised. Only 15 weeks will elapse between seeking bids and breaking ground, rather than the usual 30 weeks. A “buy local” campaign is planned urging holiday shoppers to spend their money in West Palm Beach.
